Carved Walnut Wine Cooler, chalice-form, the bowl with pyrogravure depiction of Bacchus and attendant revelers, stem and base carved with stylized leaves, ht. 31 3/4, top dia. 18 1/2 in. Provenance: Purchased from Parke-Bernet Galleries, November, 26th 1963. Estimate $500-700 Cracks in bowl bound with a later metal ring, repairs to base.
