Various European Schools, 17th and 18th Centuries Five Miniature Portrait of Noblemen, Merchants, and Clerics All unsigned. Oil on copper, sizes to 4 1/8 x 3 1/4 in. (10.5 x 8.4 cm), four framed, two unframed. Condition: Fine craquelure, some with paint losses, not examined out of frames. Provenance: The estate of George Way. Estimate $300-500 Oval under glass with heavy varnish and areas of paint loss. Others with slightest abrasions and slight and very scattered paint loss.
