Dmitry Fedorovich Chumakov (Russian, 1913-c. 1980s) Birches and Vernal Pool. Signed in Cyrillic "D. Chumakov" l.r. Oil on Masonite, 13 3/4 x 19 1/2 in., framed. Condition: Good. Provenance: A Massachusetts estate. N.B. D.F. Chumakov was a Moscow painter, designer, panorama artist, and teacher. He graduated from the Krasnodar Art College (1928-1931) and the Moscow Institute for Advanced Studies of Artists (1934-1937). He was a member of the Moscow Union of Artists, whose label is affixed to the reverse. Estimate $300-500 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
