Edward Wormley (1907-1995) for Dunbar Curved-front Sofa, Berne, Indiana, c. 1970, gold textured velour, with maker's label, on casters, ht. 25 1/2, wd. 102, dp. 35 in. Note: Edward J. Wormley was an American modern furniture designer. In 1926 he studied briefly at the Art Institute of Chicago and then worked as an interior designer for Marshall Fields & Company. In 1944, while working for Dunbar, Wormley led their Modern focus incorporating European and Scandinavian influences into their lines.
