Edward Wormley (1907-1995) for Dunbar Club Chair, Berne, Indiana, c. 1955, reupholstered in Knoll Pearl Bouclé textile, tufted back, round tapered brass legs, ht. 29, wd. 30, dp. 35 in. Note: Edward J. Wormley was an American modern furniture designer. In 1926 he studied briefly at the Art Institute of Chicago and then worked as an interior designer for Marshall Fields & Company. In 1944, while working for Dunbar, Wormley led their Modern focus incorporating European and Scandinavian influences into their lines.
