Blue and White Bowl, China, possibly Late Ming/Transitional period, deep bowl resting on a short raised foot, decorated with roundels of auspicious fruit and flowers and bands of geometric pattern and double rings, ht. 2 7/8, dia. 5 5/8 in. Provenance: Mary Andrews Wolff Collection since 1970, purchased from Marchant London; then by descent to the present owner. Estimate $800-1,000 numerous frittings around mouth rim, firing cracks, glazing flaws with pock marks, potting flaws and chips around foot ring, surface dirt particularly to the interior well, fine surface scratches.
