Chinese, Ming Dynasty Xuande Period mark (1426-1435), likely 20th century. A Ming Dynasty style Tianqiuping or globular form porcelain dragon vase, allover with incised decoration depicting a three clawed scaly dragon in flight amid cloud scrolls, chrysanthemum blossoms on vine, and lotus flowers, the decoration emphasized with a field of golden glaze over the dragon form and a field of pale blue glaze over the background area, the narrow neck topped with a band of stylized waves in cobalt to mouth. Marked to shoulder in single band with six character Xuande imperial reign mark. Approximate height 17.125", diameter 15".
