Set of Five Gilt and Red-lacquered Plates, Japan, Meiji period, six-petaled floral form, three with a figural landscape and two with a bird and flower design, mark partially reading "Kinichi" on black-lacquered base, ht. 1, dia. 6 3/8 in. Estimate $200-300 multiple cracks to lacquered layers, minor loss of lacquer particualry along some mouth rims. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
