Woman's Informal Robe, China, late 19th century, mint green silk woven with shou symbols and Greek meander motifs, trimmed with contrasting bands embroidered with butterflies and the "three friends of winter," lg. 49 in. Provenance: Previously held for many years in the collection of a local historical institution. Estimate $500-700 Minor stain to front, some pulled and abraided threads.
