Theresa Ferber Bernstein (American, 1890-2002) Masquerade Signed and dated "T. Bernstein/1914" l.r. Oil on canvas, 27 x 35 in. (68.6 x 88.9 cm), in a period frame. Condition: Wax lined, craquelure, surface grime. Estimate $5,000-7,000 The lining include a sold support between the old and new canvases, and this has resulted in some minor flattening of the impasto, but plenty is still left. There is very minor retouch. The frame measures 35 x 43 x 2 1/2 in. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
