John Whorf (American, 1903-1959) Spring Rain in the Back Bay/A Boston View Signed "John Whorf. " l.r. Watercolor with tooling, resist, and ink on paper, sight size 15 1/2 x 21 1/4 in. (39.4 x 54.0 cm), framed. Condition: Not examined out of frame. Estimate $2,000-3,000 Out of the frame the sheet measures15 1/2 x 21 3/8 in. There are tack holes at each corner. It has been laid down to cardboard. When this was done a black band of watercolor was added all the way around the edge and continues onto the backing. The frame measure 23 3/4 x 28 1/2 x 1 1/4 in.
