Eskimo Model Ship, possibly Inupiat, Alaska, c. 1900, constructed from bone and walrus tusk, ht. 6, wd. 7 1/2 in. Provenance: Private collection, Stowe, Vermont; Alaska on Madison Gallery, New York City; purchased from a collector in northern California who inherited a collection of artifacts from a relative who owned a trading post in Nome, Alaska.
