Chippewa Birch Bark Scroll, c. 1870s, flat piece of bark with attached sticks to stabilize at each end, with complex engraved imagery on one side, including animals, fish, and humans framed by a cross-hatched border, 6 1/4 x 14 1/2 in. Provenance: Private collection, St. Paul, Minnesota; Richard Pohrt Jr., Ann Arbor, Michigan. Estimate $800-1,200 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
