Likely 19th century. Rustic hand carved and polychrome folk art animal sculpture in the form of a running or flying pig with upturned ears, recessed eyes, and open mouth leading to hollowed interior, hinged door on animal’s hind quarters accessing storage space within. Scattered weathered white painted remnants throughout form. Later felt pads on bottom of cloven hoof feet and later hook on back for hanging for display. Apparently unsigned. Overall approximate height 7.125â€, width 13.9â€, depth 4.3â€.
