Aaron Willard Mahogany Dish-dial Shelf Clock, Boston, c. 1820, original fluted spire finial surmounting the swan's neck crest, half-round upper door frame enclosing the reverse-painted floral-decorated tablet marked "A. Willard/Boston," roman numeral dish dial with black-painted hands, crotch mahogany lower panel with veneered cross-banded frame, all resting on cast brass paw feet, eight-day, time-only brass movement, regulated by a brass-faced pendulum bob and cast iron weight, ht. 35 1/2 in. Estimate $7,000-9,000 original painted tablet, case refinished, swans neck scrolls are broken off but with the clock, one scroll has small veneer loss, appears to be original front and rear feet, original pendulum, similar weight is pictured in "The Willard House and Clock Museum book by Dr. Roger W.
