Two William J. Young Surveyor's Compasses, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19th century, each with 6-in. dia. engraved dial marked "Wm. J. Young/Maker/Patent/Philadelphia," one with circular level and outkeeper, the other with spirit level, each housed in a fitted box, lg. 14 in. Provenance: Robert Miller Collection.
