Two Young & Sons Surveyor's Compasses, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19th century, 6 1/2-in. dial no. 5530 marked in part "Patented Aug. 17 1875," with calibrated sighting vanes and original box, and a 5 3/4-in. vernier compass with engraved dial no. 5246 reading as above, (lacking vanes), lg. 15 and 14 in.
