Two William J. Young Vernier Compasses, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19th century, a 6 1/2-in. dia. engraved dial and a 6-in. dia. engraved dial, both marked "W.J. Young/Maker/Philadelphia," with circular levels, sighting vanes, and original fitted boxes, lg. 14 and 15 in. Provenance: Robert Miller Collection.
