Marbled Slip-decorated Quart Mug, England, late 18th century, the marbled field between bands of orange and brown slip, strap handle with foliate terminals, ht. 5 7/8 in. Estimate $300-500 Top rim with numerous small nicks and glaze abrasions. Top rim with 1/2" chip, mostly to inside edge. 1/8" footrim flake. The underside of the base is heavily cracked.
