Black-painted Slat-back Armchair, early 18th century, turned finials above three shaped slats, turned handholds and gray-painted splint seat, later black paint over earlier gray, ht. 47 1/4, seat ht. 16 1/2 in. Provenance: Property Approved for Deaccession by the Board of Trustees of Historic Deerfield, Inc. Proceeds to the benefit the Museum Collections Fund. Estimate $400-600 Chair does not appear to have any repairs or restorations. Feet are not ended out. Seat splints are worn/broken at the front.
