Benjamin Burt Silver Caster, Boston, late 18th century, the pierced top with turned finial on a body engraved with a two-headed eagle over "OB to SB," marked on the bottom "B. BURT" in a sunken cartouche, ht. 5 1/8 in., approx. 3.1 troy oz. Provenance: Richard Bourne auction, August 1971. Estimate $300-500 Scattered minor dents to top of lid. Lid unmarked. Otherwise in good overall condition with only light age-typical surface wear. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
