Early Red/brown-painted Chest over Drawer, probably Connecticut River Valley, early 18th century, the hinged top above the facade with applied double-arch molding, applied base molding, turned front feet and integral rear bracket feet, (imperfections), ht. 34 1/4, wd. 44, dp. 18 in. Provenance: Property Approved for Deaccession by the Board of Trustees of Historic Deerfield, Inc. Proceeds to the benefit the Museum Collections Fund. Estimate $600-800 top molding replaced, small triangular patch at front right. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
