Small Staffordshire Historical Blue Transfer-decorated Arms of Massachusetts Platter, Thomas Mayer, Stoke-on-Trent & Longport, Staffordshire, c. 1830, the central arms on a seacoast background within a flower and leaf border, the back with impressed Mayer mark and printed spreadwing eagle, ht. 7 1/2, wd. 9 1/2 in. Provenance: Purchased from William Kurau, May 2003. Estimate $1,500-2,500 Typical slightest scattered surface abrasions to the glaze. No evidence of any cracks, chips or restorations throughout.
