Square-top Maple Candlestand, New England, c. 1800, the top with ovolo corners on an elaborately turned post and tripod base of cabriole legs, vestiges of red wash, (imperfections), ht. 27 3/4, wd. 16 1/2, dp. 15 3/4 in. Provenance: Wayne Pratt, Woodbury, Connecticut. Estimate $400-600 cracks to post, top slightly loose, new screws in cleat. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
