Paint-decorated Spice Cabinet, New England, early 19th century, the blue dovetail-constructed case of twenty-four drawers with blue scrolls and lettered in yellow "PEPPER," "CLOVES," "NUTMEG," and more, all on a putty-painted ground, (restoration), ht. 48 1/2, wd. 36 3/4, dp. 10 1/4 in. Estimate $2,500-3,500 Base is restored (new) and the "GRASS" drawer has been repainted. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
