Sharps New Model 1859 Military Rifle, c. 1859-63, .52 caliber, serial number 40809, walnut stock (no patch box), steel fittings, patent markings on the receiver, lug for a saber bayonet near the muzzle, barrel lg. 30 in. Estimate $700-900 Stock has some dings and nicks, a small crack under the fore end, and has been refinished, steel parts have been cleaned, and the action functions properly.
