Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver and Powder Flask Identified to Wenceslao Loaiza, c. 1855, .31 caliber, serial number 130708 (all matching except the cylinder), ivory grip, silver-plated brass backstrap marked "Wenceslao Loaisa/Hermosillo," marked on top of the barrel with two-line address, and a powder flask, barrel lg. 6 in. Note: Wenceslao Loaiza was a wealthy Central American businessman with offices in New York and San Francisco. Estimate $600-800 Grip is missing a few small chips on the right side and has a crack with two small pins as a repair on the left, gun functions properly, cylinder doesn't match, and there is no finish on the gun.
