U. S. Model 1816 Conversion Musket, c. 1827, .69 caliber, walnut stock (filler in the upper rear of the lock), steel fittings, lock marked "US" and "SPRING/FIELD/1827," with proof marks on the breech, barrel lg. 42 in. Estimate $300-500 Stock has some dings and nicks as well as some wood filler right above the tail of the lock plate, some pitting on the breech, and the lock doesn't function properly.
