Neoclassical Carved and Gilt Overmantel Mirror, early 19th century, with central Wedgwood light blue jasper plaque, ht. 28 1/2, wd. 71 3/4 in. Provenance: Property Approved for Deaccession by the Board of Trustees of Historic Deerfield, Inc. Proceeds to the benefit the Museum Collections Fund. Estimate $300-500 clean break to the Wedgwood tablet, which exhibits surface grime and discoloration, losses to the applied decoration of panels and right Egyptian column, lifting to the molding between tablets and scattered losses to the gilt gesso. The Wedgwood tablet is 6 1/4" x 18 1/4". Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
