Chinese, late 19th/ early 20th century. A Chinese export porcelain lidded jar or basket of round form with blue underglaze decoration on white ground with a field of meandering sweet pea vines to body punctuated by large peony blossoms, with a band of leiwen key patterning above with opposing twisted metal wire handles to shoulder, the lid with flaring rim and bearing similar decoration topped with a stylized recumbent fu dog. The jar to a fitted stained wood stand on four scrolled feet. Approximate height of jar 8.75", diameter 7.75".
