Karel Appel (Dutch, 1921-2006) Untitled (Face), 1985, edition of 8. Signed, numbered, dated, and inscribed "appel 5/8 '85..." on the reverse. Turned and glazed earthenware plate, diameter 15 1/2 in. (39.3 cm), with holes to allow the work to be wired for hanging. Condition: Minor surface grime. Estimate $800-1,200 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
