Drypoint on laid paper, plate size 7 x 11 7/8 in. (17.5 x 30.0 cm), unmatted, unframed. Condition: Full margins with all but the upper edge deckled, minor crimps and soiling to upper corners, pencil annotations to margins, old hinges to upper corners on verso. Provenance: Descended within the family of the artist. N.B. The Currituck Marshes are located between the North Carolina coast and the Outer Banks. They include the Pine Island Audubon Sanctuary, which is now owned and conserved by Audubon North Carolina, and is a favorite spot with local birders.
