Mirko Basaldella (Italian, 1910-1969) Abstract Figure Unsigned, inscribed "to Vera" on an unattributed label affixed to the underside of the plinth. Bronze with a red/orange patina, height 13 1/4 in. (33.6 cm). Condition: Scattered small white accretions, small areas of oxidation near lower edges, dust and dirt to the interstices, sculpture has become detached from wood plinth (plinth accompanies the lot). Provenance: From the artist by descent through to the estate of his niece, Vera Zariski DeCola. Estimate $2,000-3,000 Scattered abrasions to plinth. No further condition issues to report.
