Stephen Bush (Australian, b. 1958) Swamp Gum Signed, dated, and titled "Stephen Bush/2004/..." on the reverse. Oil and enamel on linen, 72 x 72 in. (183.0 x 183.0 cm), unframed. Condition: Minor varnish inconsistency near u.r. corner. Provenance: John L. Stewart Collection, New York, through to the current private collection, New Hampshire. Estimate $4,000-6,000 There are a few very small black marks near the lower right corner that may be stray dots of paint, or tiny accretions. There is a small area of surface inconsistency at lower center (adjacent to the lower edge) that seems to be inherent (not due to any damage). No further condition issues to report.
