Japanese, Meiji Period (1868-1912). A hand forged large copper tea kettle of cylindrical form with upturned serpentine spout to one end, folding flattened copper handle to top, and round copper lid with rounded finial, the interior lined in zinc. Approximate height with handle raised 17.5", width across spout 14.5", diameter of body 10.625".
