Melvyn Firmager Infinity Vessel Turned Wood Sculpture, Somerset, England, 1997, English yew, marked "MF 399," ht. 9, dia. 6 1/2 in. Note: Firmager teaches wood-turning at his school and inn, Nut Tree Farm. He is a sculptural turner, working mainly with green wood allowing it to take on its own form as it dries. He is known for his 'Sea Flowers' and objects with distorted and straight multiple rims. Estimate $300-500 One rim with a small crack eminating from the outer edge inward.
