Bruno Mathsson (Swedish, 19074-1988) for Karl Mathsson Pernilla Chaise Lounge, Sweden, c. 1965, designed 1937, laminated beech and canvas webbing, branded "Bruno Mathsson Design Made In Sweden," ht. 36, wd. 68, dp. 25 in. Note: Mathsson is an internationally-recognized designer and architect. He was an advocate of simplicity, beauty and elegance in form, which also applied to the furniture he designed. Mathsson's furniture was innovative in technique as well as design, his production methods included the bending of laminated wood.
