Veraguas Gold Frog Pendant, Costa Rica, c. 800-1500 AD, in the form of a frog, with large round eyes, and rounded back, with two large flat rear legs, with a ring below each eye for attachment, gold content 5.1 grams, at 59.85%, lg. 1 1/8, wd. 7/8 in. Provenance: Collected by George Washington Goethals (1858-1928), while working on the Panama canal; then by descent through the family.
