Venetian School, 16th/17th Century Three Studies of Infants Unsigned, inscribed "titien" on the front of the mount, attributed variously to Titian and to School of Guido Reni in inscriptions on the reverse, and with an unattributed auction label naming Titian also on the reverse. Pen and ink with red chalk underdrawing on paper, 8 1/2 x 11 1/4 in. (21.7 x 28.5 cm), framed. Condition: Trimmed and mounted to a page from a French accounting ledger, center crease, staining, foxing, soiling to the edges, smudge of red pigment c.r. edge with scattered traces elsewhere. Provenance: Wildenstein and Company (New York). Estimate $300-500 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
