Five Wedgwood Egyptian Items, England, early 19th century, four in rosso antico with applied black basalt relief: two covered teapots with crocodile finials, lg. 9 3/4, and two covered jars with owl finials, dish dia. 6 1/2; and a black basalt covered jar with applied rosso antico relief, dish dia. 6 1/2 in.; impressed marks. Estimate $600-800 Teapot: Chips to inner rim; slight chip repair at tip of spout; hairline running across base. Teapot: End of spout ground down; slight chips along rim at shoulder. Covered jar: Cover restored; chips and repais to bowl rim; saucer with 1 1/4" rim chip poorly repaired on backside. Covered jar: Cover with repair to under of rim; 2 3/4 chip in two pieces broken off of saucer (pieces available). Basalt jar: Missing cover; small rim chip.
