Four Wedgwood Rosso Antico Items, England, 19th century, each with applied black basalt relief, a circular box and cover with zodiac symbols and classical figures, dia. 3 1/2; an inkstand in the form of an altar with two-handled bowl atop a cylindrical pedestal with floral festoons terminating at ram's heads and trophy drops, ht. 4 1/8; inkstand with dolphin tripod base, ht. 4; and a plate with fruiting grapevine border, dia. 6 1/8 in.; impressed marks. Estimate $400-600 Box: 1/2" chip to cover rim; 3/8' chip to inner rim of box. Altar inkstand: Restorations to bowl, top surface rim and footrim. Dolphin inkstand: Small chip to central well rim; slightest flake under footrim. Plate: Rim chip restored. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
