Two Wedgwood Black Basalt Oil Lamps, England, 19th century, oval with fluted neck, oak leaf border and acanthus and bellflowers to lower body, each with a maiden pouring a jug, ht. 8 1/2; mounted atop a black-painted octagonal wood base, ht. 1 3/4 in. Estimate $500-700 One with restoration to small cylndrical spout and to top rim of socle. One with finial off and simply reglued to cover; chip to side of spout ground down.
