Six-piece Gorham Silver Tea and Coffee Service, Providence, c. 1879, each with an engraved coat of arms, comprised of a hot water urn, teapot, coffeepot, waste bowl, covered sugar, and creamer, urn ht. 15 in., approx. 175.0 troy oz. Estimate $3,000-6,000 Shallow linear dent to waste bowl, covered sugar, teapot, and urn. Scattered minor pinprick dents and light abrasions. Foot to creamer, coffeepot, covered sugar and waste bowl bent very slightly (slight wobble). Urn lacking burner. Vacant cartouche to coffeepot with some abrasions though no evidence of engraving removal otherwise (no thinness or abrasions to interior, also not present on any of the other pieces).
