Federal Inlaid Birch Swell-front Bureau, probably Concord, New Hampshire, c. 1805-10, the case of crossbanded and inlaid drawers of bird's-eye maple veneer on flaring French feet joined by a shaped apron centering a half-pinwheel pendant, brasses appear original, refinished, (minor imperfections including patches to feet), ht. 38 1/2, wd. 39, dp. 21 3/4 in. Estimate $800-1,200 The chest is refinished with some veneer patching, and one piece of loss. The brass pulls are very nice quality.
