Red Cross "Honor Roll" Fund-raising Quilt, McCool Junction, Nebraska, c. 1917, designed as a central red cross surrounded by stitched lettering "Honor Roll," "McCool Jct/Nebraska," date "1917," dozens of smaller crosses, and hundreds of embroidered names of the donors, 77 1/2 x 66 in. Provenance: The Forbes-Williams Family. Estimate $2,500-3,500 some fading to red fabric along folds at center and to some red crosses. Yellowish stain at lower center. No apparent weakening or deterioration to fabrics. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
