Shaker Oval Carrier, attributed to George Roberts, Mount Lebanon, New York, with two swallowtails and swing handle, ht. 3, wd. 14 1/2, dp. 10 1/2 in., sold with tins of Sabbathday Lake Shaker Herbs. Provenance: The Shaker Collection of Brenda and Charles R. Muller, Canal Winchester, Ohio. Note: George Roberts, a woodworker, was not a Shaker, but was hired by the Shakers and worked with them. Estimate $100-150 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
