Intricate Pennsylvania watercolor and ink on paper fraktur, dated 1774 , probably Lebanon County, with checkerboard tulips, elaborate stylized flowers, striped leaves and geometric designs, all arising from checkerboard pots and surrounding a center scalloped edge heart enclosing script, 12 1/2" x 16". A piece with similar motifs can be found in Pennsylvania German Fraktur of the Free Library of Philadelphia , plate 103.
