Violin, labeled Francesco Ruger detto il Per/Cremona 1687, length of back 351 mm, with case and bow. Estimate $400-600 Overvarnished. Rib cracks at upper and lower bouts. Repaired back crack at bass edge of lower bout. Button graft including upper back, back center seam reinforced with paper. Some plate and rib deformation at chinrest. Cracks to back of pegbox and open graft. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
