A Victorian tiger oak fireplace surround or mantel, quartersawn with ogee molded cornice over the rectangular beveled mirror back and demilune molded mantel shelf, the frieze carved with French attributes; flambeau torch and ribbon floral swags flanked by heavy Ionic capitals resting on acanthus carved and beaded plinth. Approximate height 78", width 59.25", depth 10". Opening approximate height 38", width 41".
