First edition, quarto, in publisher's blue cloth with black and gilt laid on image of a crater, illustrated with twenty-four plates of the moon's surface, two pages of advertisements at the back, (boards with handling marks, title page detached, preface page repaired and reset), 11 1/4 x 9 in. Provenance: Deaccessioned from the John Teti Rare Photography Book Collection, New Hampshire Institute of Art.
